In 2008, Northwest Kitchen founders, Karoline and Helge noticed an emerging trend in America. They observed that people are staying at home more, doing things together, spending family time preparing and cooking food at home, and having friends over. With home cooking on the rise, people need an expanded suite of kitchen products.
 
The inspiration came when they realized there is a distinct lack of kitchen equipment stores available that offer a wide spectrum of high quality cookware, bakeware, kitchen products and gourmet foods at affordable prices. Their vision is to fill the chasm between expensive specialty retailers and mass produced kitchen products of marginal quality.
